One size cloth diapers are a fairly new concept. They represent the ultimate cloth diapering option for both economic and eco-friendly reasons. With modern cloth diapers, one of the original advantages was that they are reusable and can be used and saved for future children. You invest in cloth for the first child and in return can then cloth diaper future children for no cost at all.

One size diapers came along and further simplified the cloth diapering world. Families no longer had to worry. Question like these used to be standard…

Would their newborn need an xtra small or small?

How many do you need and how soon will they need the next size up?

Would the time spent in a certain size justify the expense?

Should you try and start with a larger size and hope baby grows into it quickly?

What if baby needs an in between size?

What if you have two in diapers and one will wear a small while the other needs a large?

The One Size cloth diaper solves all these problems.

One Size Diapers fit babies from birth through potty training. Generally from about 8-35lbs.

Because they are one size, a family will not have to worry about baby outgrowing them or needing another size.

One size diapers are highly adjustable and often accommodate more than the typical S, M, L stages. They have snaps and aplix allowing them to fit all those in between stages as well.

They can be used on multiple children of different sizes. This means that both your newborn and your toddler can share the same diaper stash.

The one disadvantage you should know about is that if you use all one size diapers day in and day out then they will be getting washed all the time, unless you have a lot more than you need. This means they endure a lot more wear and tear and may not actually be in good enough shape to save and use for future children or for resale. So keep in mind, if you’re using one size cloth diapers, the more you have in your rotation the less each diaper is getting used which will extend their overall lifespan.

Thanks for reading!

Do you like the idea of cloth diapers, but just aren’t sure that they are for you? Have you researched and researched about the benefits of cloth diapers, but still won’t make the plunge? Are you overwhelmed with all the cloth diapering choices available that you just can’t make a decision about which to buy?

Cloth Diaper Trial Packages are a great way to get you feet wet.

If this is you and I know YOU are out there… have you ever considered a Cloth Diaper Trial Package? Many cloth diapering boutique have such a creature.

Cloth Diaper Trial Packages are great idea! You get a package of a variety of cloth diapers, a sampling of all the different kinds of cloth diapers, and cloth diapering accessories. Then for a small fee, you can wash and use they cloth diapers and accessories for a specified time. If you love them all great… keep them, if not send them back. You aren’t out much money and if nothing else you can tell all of your friends that you “tried” cloth diapering

Cloth Diaper Trial Packages are the best of all worlds… especially if you are on the fence. You have probably read that 27 billion disposable diapers go into our landfills every year and that those same disposable diapers that we throw away today will be there in the year 2500. You have probably also read that disposable diapers have chemicals and toxins in them that are not very safe on your baby’s delicate skin. You have most likely also read that even though it seems like a lot of money initially, disposable diapers still cost a lot more than cloth diapers.

Even after all of these facts, you may still be wondering… I don’t know if I would like using cloth diapers. What if I just do not like them? What if I spend a lot of money on cloth diapers and it just isn’t my cup of tea? All these are valid. Even though cloth diapering is very easy, I too was apprehensive before I began using them. Like all new things sometimes it is difficult to just go for it, especially when the “it” costs quite a bit of your hard earned dollars. This is why Cloth Diaper Trial Packages were created…. just for you. They are inexpensive and allow you to get you feet wet with cloth diapers, so you can decide for yourself if cloth diapering is for you.

If you are on the fence, try a cloth diaper trial package. There are many out there in cloth diapering cyberspace…look around.

If you do decide to try one, I bet you will see that cloth diapers truley are as easy to care for as everyone says they are….

….and you may just fall in love with all the squishy goodness.

I know I have!!!

If you are like me, cloth diapering is not only practical, but has become an obsession. I can’t wait to try the newest and cutest cloth diapers and accessories as they come on to the market. I am ALWAYS on the look out for something more to add to my already exploding cloth diaper stash.

One of my most favorite Cloth Diapering accessory are Babylegs Leg Warmers. Babylegs were created out of necessity by a Mom who wanted to keep her daughters legs warm while she had nakey time due to a bad diaper rash.

Who can resist all the beautiful colors and patterns that Babylegs Leg Warmers are available in? Certainly not me. I love deciding which pair I am going to purchase next to compliment my daughters wardrobe. There is nothing cuter than a little dress with a coordinating pair of Babylegs. In this particular photo, the Watermelon Babylegs matched her dress perfectly, making this already cute outfit a favorite.

Not only are they quite fashionable, but Babylegs leg warmers are also functional. They are great to put in your diaper bag for outings as a quick cover up in the hot sun, or a warm alternative when that hot day turns to a chilly night. They work great for cloth diapering because you don’t have to remove them to change you baby’s diaper. I love them for my daughter to protect her knees from scrapes when she falls while she is wearing a dress or shorts. They have saved us many a tear and band-aid.

Besides making my daughter look uber cute, I love babylegs for me. I use them on my arms under my t-shirts when I get chilly as a fashionable accessory. My older daughters use them too. They love the super soft babylegs in the cold months to accessorize whatever they are wearing and keep their arms warm in the process.

Babylegs aren’t just for girls either, my son loves his very boyish flame babylegs to wear on his arms under a t-shirt on chilly days. In fact there are many patterns of babylegs available just for boys, including Blue Flame, Phinney, and Fishin, as well as others.

For me, Babylegs Leg Warmers are a must have cloth diapering accessory. How about you… What is your must have cloth diapering accessory? I would love to know

I am appalled with CBS and 7th Generation. Why would you get the manufacturer of a disposable diaper company to come on TV and say whether cloth diapers are more “Green” than disposable diapers? Can you say Bias? It amazes me that the media still fuels the “diaper debate”. It is hard enough in my opinion to speak the truth about cloth diapers when the disposable diaper companies are putting millions of dollars into biased research and media campaigns to make their product look environmentally friendly.

Why is it that cloth diapers automatically become worse for the environment than disposable diapers just because you wash them. Does that mean because we use cloth towels, cloth sheets, and cloth clothing that need washed on a regular basis that we should all switch to paper counterparts. Maybe we should stop washing dishes also and use paper plates and plastic forks. This just seems ludicrous to me.

What these disposable diaper companies fail to mention is the amount of water and other raw materials that manufacturing, packaging, and shipping disposable diapers actually take. In fact, to process the wood pulp from trees into paper, guess what the process takes? That’s right…water. I am not talking about just a little bit of water either, but massive amounts. Do you ever hear anyone mention that? What about the number of trees that are needed to produce the approximately 1.3 million tons of wood pulp needed each year for the manufacture of these disposable diapers, do you ever hear any mention of this? In fact it is estimated to take at least a quarter of a million trees to produce enough disposable diapers to diaper the babies in the US for just ONE year. I don’t know about you, but I think that that is a LOT of trees.

What about the oil that is needed to produce disposable diapers… Do you ever hear about this? It takes 1 cup of crude oil to produce the plastic needed to make one disposable diaper. With over 18 billion disposable diapers used each year in the US, this is a massive amount of oil. Unfortunately, it doesn’t even include the oil needed to package and ship said disposable diapers.

The sad fact is that producing these disposable diapers is quite a misuse of our natural resources, but you don’t hear about that do you? It is a shame that the madness doesn’t stop there. Unfortunately, though, these same disposable diapers are used once and then thrown into our already overburdened landfills where it can take 250-500+ years to decompose.

It seems to me that there is still no question…

Cloth Diapers are BETTER for the environment and MORE GREEN!!!

The new Gro Baby Organic One Size Cloth Diaper from the Natural Baby Company is a revolutionary, modern cloth diapering system. The Gro Baby Diaper System consists of a waterproof shell lined with an unique quick drying mesh. The system has a certified organic soaker that can be snapped into the shell. When it is wet, simpy unsnap the soaker and place a fresh, dry soaker into the same shell.

The Gro Baby One Size Diaper is designed so that you can re-use the shell over and over with additional soakers. This reduces the amount of diaper laundry that you will have per load. In fact you only will need about 2-4 shells per day. Of course, if using with a newborn, I would imagine that you may need a few more. However, what is great about these diapers is with the unique mesh liner, if the shell gets damp just air dry in between uses.

The Gro Baby Organic Soaker is the second part of this diapering system. It is designed with elasticized leg gatherings to help contain messes. It seems to be very absorbant, yet trim. The soaker is made to wash thoroughly and dry rather quickly. The organic cotton fleece is luxuriously soft. If the soaker is just not quite enough for your heavy wetter or at naptime, The Natural Baby Company has designed a Gro Baby Booster that fits perfectly inside the soaker and gives a BOOST to the absorbancy. Of course, it is recommended that the soaker and booster be washed at least 3-5 times for absorbancy. However, since they are organic cotton, I would suggest that it may take about 10 wash cycles before they reach maximum absorbancy.

The Gro Baby Diaper System is a one size system designed to fit babies approximately 8 lbs – 35 lbs. This is accomplished through the traditional use of a snap down rise. There are three rise adjustments on the Gro Baby Diaper Shell. On first look, these snaps seem to be very sturdy and hold together well. They are, however, a natural color and do not match the diaper color. The Gro Baby is available in three vibrant colors… Kiwi, Mandarin, and Blackberry, with a new Vanilla color coming this summer. One other unique feature of this diaper is the use of a sticky-able fabric along the entire top edge of the diaper. It allows for infinite waist adjustments using the velcro-like tabs. Though I prefer snaps, the adjustability and lack of an unsightly velcro stip intrigue me.

At first look, I am really excited about the Gro Baby One Size Diaper. It fit my 25 lb, 2 year old beautifully. It may very well become my favorite diaper. A more thorough review will follow after I have a chance to break it in

My love of cloth diapers began just over two years ago when I decided to try them on my youngest daughter. They were so easy to use and so very cute. I no longer had to worry about running out of diapers, which required a trip to my local store to buy more. Through trial and error and a lot of reading, I became quite adept at cloth diapering.

However, before I started cloth diapering, I was a bit nervous. There were so many diaper choices and I worried that it would be difficult, but I decided to try them anyway. Guess what? I never looked back. After about a week or so, I had a routine down and I found cloth diapering to be just as easy to use as disposables. I was already doing laundry everyday anyway, so another load or two a week was nothing to write home about.

Anyway to make a long story short, I love that my baby has cotton and soft fabrics against her sensitive skin. I know that with cloth diapers she is not being needlessly exposed to potentially harmful chemicals. Also, I can not imagine wearing paper underwear day in and day out, so it makes me happy that my baby wears cotton diapers rather than paper ones.

Besides, I love how cute my baby looks in cloth diapers. There are so many colors and patterns available that I never tire of seeing the same old white diaper. The chore of diapering has become fun. I love being able to choose which cloth diaper or diapering combo that I am going to use on my baby’s dupa at any given time. Also, I rarely, if ever, have “blow-outs” with my cloth diapers. They are so great at containing even the messiest of messy messes, which I can, definitely, not say about disposable diapers.

I love that I am no longer contributing to the massive amounts of disposable diapers that are ending up in our landfills every day along with all the encapsulated human waste just waiting to wreck havoc on our groundwater supply.

Finally, as I mentioned earlier, I love that I never needed to make a “midnight run” to the store to buy diapers. I am saving money, helping the environment, protecting the health of my baby, and loving every minute of it.

So, why do you cloth diaper??? I would love to hear your stories
